Songs and cover in different styles

5. Walk This Way – Aerosmith

Covered by Run-D.M.C., although those songs sung in different genres, both of the songs are quite similar. This cover made Run-D.M.C. became popular and gave the rap group a significant exposure.

4. Coldplay, The Scientist

Maybe one of the most covered songs ever, the Willie Nelson cover is quite different from the original. One of the best cross genre covers.

3. Ed Sheeran – Castle on the Hills

Anthony Lazaro covered this song in 4 different styles: blues, folk, pop and doo wop. The last one is our favourite one

2. Britney Spears – Oops . . . I Did It Again

For those who like different versions of popular songs, Cover by Max Raabe & Palast Orchester, this version of Britney Spears’ Oops . . . I Did It Again is in cabaret style, really hilarious.

1. Metallica – Nothing Else Matters

Not so properly same song different genre, this cover by Apocalyptica deserves to be appreciated. Apocalyptica are a cello-rock band (originally made by 4 members, now 3 plus drummer) who started out as a Metallica cover band, playing songs covered in different genres, nowadays they have covered lots of others metal/rock bands cross genre songs, including David Bowie.
